Le Manoir

Le Manoir is a 19th century elegant, gentleman’s residence, situated some 20 kilometres southwest of Saumur and the Loire.

It is located in the heart of the vineyards in the unspoilt Loire-Anjou Region Natural Park; an ideal location for exploring the many local wine AOC regions including Saumur, Saumur Champigny, Anjou, Coteaux de Layon, Bourguiel and Chinon.

The former winemaker’s house is sited in almost an acre of ground, occupying a prominent position in the hamlet of L’Humeau de Bray, one of 27 hamlets in the village of St. Macaire du Bois.

The hamlet lies close to Le Puy Notre Dame, a ‘village of charm’ with an old and protected church and the bustling market town of Doue la Fontaine, known as ‘the city of roses.’

Guests will have access to the delightful sitting/wine room in the manor house where wine tasting will be hosted. Dinners will be served in the dining room with traditional stone fireplace or on the covered terrace on warm evenings.

The pool is situated in a sunny part of the rear garden in an idyllic walled enclosure. Loungers, umbrellas and chairs are available on the terracing around the pool for sunbathing or relaxing.

Secure parking for guests is provided within the enclosed grounds entered through a gated access.
